Steve White has gained a reputation for innovative programming and energetic performances. A native of Paris, Texas, Steve studied at The University of Texas at Austin, receiving a Bachelor of Music degree with teacher certification, and a Masters Degree in Choral Conducting. While in graduate school, Steve directed the UT Longhorn Singers, assisted Craig Hella Johnson with UT Concert Chorale, served as Music Director of the annual UT Madrigal Dinner from 1995-1999, and performed with the Chamber Singers.
Steve has also appeared with various Central Texas music companies since 1991, including The Gilbert & Sullivan Society of Austin, The Austin Choral Arts Society, and The Victoria Bach Festival. He remains enthusiastically active in the internationally acclaimed Conspirare.
Steve spent two years on the summer faculty at the Leysin American School in Switzerland. His choirs have performed in London, Paris, New York, and Boston among others. He is currently in his 18th year teaching public school in Texas at Vista Ridge High School.
